Allied Funeral Associates Insurance Company was incorporated as a Mississippi company on January 8, 1996 with its initial founders and officers being Pat Nunnelee, Alan Nunnelee, and Teresa Snow.  They recognized the need for a Mississippi-based insurance company to meet the insurance needs of local funeral homes.  Throughout 1996 stock was sold to fund the newly formed corporation and allowing Allied to become licensed by the Mississippi Insurance Department as an Industrial Life Insurance Company. 

 

The first policy was issued on February 7, 1997, and Allied has continued to thrive and grow as a leading company of its kind, expanding its product offerings and presence throughout Mississippi. Some of the company’s growth has occurred through acquisition of other industrial life insurance companies such as the acquisition of Home Security Life Insurance Company in 2009, Peoples Assured Life Insurance Company in 2011, and Unity Life Insurance Company in 2016.
